MicfoFig Death
July 10, 2001
...Battles are faught and won through the work of individual troopers and their equipment, but wars are faught and won by the work of dozens of units and tonnes of equipment.
...MiniFig Death deals with small units and individual troopers. MicroFigDeath was designed to scale back a bit and focus instead on the units and the overall battle.
...I really encourage you to play BrikWars (opens in new window) for a full fledged wargaming experience. But BrikWars (opens in new window) gets real complicated real fast! This is good, since it allows just about anything in a very open system... but sometimes I want to grab figs and play a quick game...
...So for a quick game, I created MFD : MiniFig Death. A few pages of basic rules that give you just enough to slaughter lots of innocent plastic.
...But while MFD is simple, it still gets unweildy for more than a few dozen figs, especially if the battle rages across a big area. To solve that problem, I wanted to back out some... shrink the scale... make big battles possible without emptying all my buckets of bricks.
...Thus I created uFD : MicroFig Death (the u is supposed to be a 'µ', but that's too hard to type, and I'm lazy).
